Healthy weight loss

So many times I meet people who are overweight and are thinking about a weight loss surgery.  I do not discount a weight loss surgery for medical necessity, but I do very strongly frown on this extreme form of weight loss for an individual without a medical condition.  I find it so disheartening when someone has gained weight through poor education, poor diet and minimal physical activity.  I wonder with the rate people are requesting this option if it is foreshadowing of the exponential vogue status of this choice in a generation or two.  Weight loss, just like weight gain can happen, and does happen with commitment, discipline, persistence and good choices.  Check out the attached article from Health Day about Gastric By-pass surgery and consider a more gradual and natural approach to weight loss.  Herbalife can provide the healthy and safer weight loss approach.

Big Breakfast, bad diet, unnecessary

I just read an article  on WebMd.com stating a recent study shows that people who eat a big breakfast were found to consume nearly 400 more calories during the day.  While the study did not suggest skipping meals, as this leads to a slowing in metabolism, it does indicate that consuming a large number of calories at each meal, rather than frequent meals of lower calories, contributes to diet failure.

Trying to loose weight does not mean that a person must suffer with counting calories as long as the meal plan has been laid in advance and the plan is reasonable. Nor does loosing weight mean that a person must be hungry.  The balance is found in consuming enough calories at regular intervals throughout the day.

Weight Loss Challenge

I am thinking about having a 12 week weight loss challenge on Thursday evenings.  Please comment if you would be interested.

I have the energy to get moving.

Folks let me say - the daily vitamins alone have increased my energy. I had to cut back on coffee to reign it in.
